Karen Lambrechts

Programme Lead – Postgraduate Certificate in Digital & Collaborative Learning

Karen is the steady hand helping to lead the Digital & Collaborative Learning programme here at The Mind Lab. Her role is multi-layered, from facilitating both online and face-to-face sessions to providing academic support for the hundreds of students we see through our postgraduate certificate each year.

On top of all this Karen is passionate about BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) at secondary schools and humanities, specifically languages and social sciences. Her knowledge from her Master of Educational Leadership and Management from Unitec, her Diploma of Adult Education from Te Wananga O Aotearoa and her Bachelor of Arts, combined with her experience teaching in a range of different environments, makes her an extremely valuable addition to our team.

Karen believes that blended and hybrid course models will pave the way for the future of education, and her vision is to change lives for the better. She took on the opportunity to travel to Japan as an exchange student which she attributes a lot of her drive and courage to.

She has a heart of gold and always has time for her students or colleagues, whether it’s lending an ear or helping out with whatever committee or working group needs an extra hand. Her super power is without a doubt her determination, and combined with her “say yes” attitude, Karen is an esteemed member of The Mind Lab whānau.
