It’s your time to shine. We invite our MTEL graduating students to come together and celebrate this huge achievement in front of friends, whānau and our staff.

What you need to know

We’re so very proud of what you have achieved, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to be part of your journey. Here is everything you need to know if you’re graduating with your Master of Teaching & Education Leadership (MTEL) in March.

Date: Saturday 20th March 2021

Time: 10:00am-11:30am

Location: The Mind Lab and Tech Futures Lab Headquarters, 99 Khyber Pass Road, Grafton, Auckland

Important: Applications to graduate in March have now closed, you will have the opportunity to graduate in September. We will be in touch if there are any changes to this event relating to Covid-19 alert levels. Any questions, please email registrar@themindlab.com.

Am I eligible to graduate?

Each of our graduation ceremonies are designed for specific cohorts.

The following qualifications will be eligible to graduate on March 20th:

  • The Mind Lab Master of Teaching & Education Leadership C19 cohort

If your cohort is not listed above, check out if you’re eligible for our other ceremony on March 19th, or check our events page later in the year.

Your ability to graduate will be confirmed once we are able to ratify that all of your programme requirements have been met.

What do I do next?

Step 1: Apply to graduate

First up you need to apply to graduate, whether you are graduating in person or absentia. Each graduating student is welcome to bring up to two guests to the ceremony, when you apply to graduate you’ll be asked how many guests you’re bringing so we can distribute tickets.

Step 2: Book your regalia

Your graduation is a formal celebration and we encourage you to dress appropriately. You are required to wear the correct academic regalia for your qualification, and you can hire your regalia from Academic Dress Hire.

Feel free to also wear traditional wear in honour of your culture or home country, such as a korowai, traditional flower garland or sari.

Step 3: Get ready to celebrate

Once you’ve received confirmation of your application to graduation, booked tickets for your friends and whānau for the in-person ceremony (and let them know), and booked your regalia – you’re ready to graduate.
