Rāhera Kuka – Student Story
Rāhera Kuka chose to learn with The Mind Lab in April 2020 when Aotearoa first went into lockdown. She wanted to develop the necessary skills to teach her students remotely, and to unlock the innate potential she believes every child has.
She submitted all of her assignments in te reo Māori and regularly attended the support sessions for Māori and Pasifika learners – ManaakiFono.
The course opened her eyes to the digital world includes virtual reality, augmented reality and coding and she is pursuing a project which will retell a local legend, a resource that can be used by her students and local community.
